The first Driver Hire office opened in West Yorkshire in 1983 and from the very start the cornerstone of our success has been our total commitment to quality of service. This quality is reflected in our rigorous business processes and in the fact that in 2005, 2006 and 2007 a Driver Hire driver was named Agency Driver of the Year by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.

The original concept was so successful that in 1987 the company’s founders decided to share it with others, and the first franchised office opened in Newcastle. We were one of the pioneers of franchising in the UK and remain committed to the concept – indeed we were named Franchisor of the Year in 2006.
