Rivington and Blackrod High School is an 11-18 mixed Comprehensive school with 1870 learners, including Sixth Form students. It is a Technology College and Training School with a substantial community programme of activity. It has achieved IIP Champion Status, Sportsmark Gold and Artsmark Silver. Rivington and Blackrod is a voluntary controlled school with a Church of England Foundation dating back to 1566.
