Internal promotion within this leading multi faceted group has resulted in a new role for a qualified accountant to take responsibility for the medium and long term financial planning. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller your duties will include
To co-ordinate and contribute to the timely production of a monthly Group Performance Booklet including both financial and non-financial performance information.
To ensure that future cash flows of each group member is projected regularly and reliably to inform borrowing strategy and future financial modelling.
To make recommendations to continuously improve company financial performance, e.g. cost savings, income generation, make-or-buy decisions, investment and divestment decisions
To design and deliver financial training to line managers and staff to enable them to deal appropriately with a variety of financial situations
Participate in financial projects contributing to achievement of business strategy.
To provide line management to a junior member of the management accounting team, identifying development opportunities, providing advice and support.
The successful candidate will have a proactive nature, the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and excellent system and reporting skills, especially MS Excel
