Alarm Engineer / Installation Engineer / Service Engineer

Established for over thirty years and with offices throughout the UK, my client now requires additional Alarm Engineers based in the North West.

You will attend client locations to carry out installations, repair and routine service work on security, access control, CCTV and small addressable fire systems. All work carried out in accordance with the relevant company instructions and in line with current British Standards.

You will be responsible to trace and repair faults at client locations; Replace existing equipment found to be faulty; Achieve any personal targets set down by the company; Follow the company laid down procedure; Wear the work wear provided at all times; Ensure vehicle is kept clean and tidy in accordance with the company manual; Work outside normal area to cover sickness/holiday and workload considerations; Attend any training courses that the company deemed necessary; Ensure that paperwork is submitted in line with Management instructions.

You should be able to communicate at all levels with customers, able to work on own initiative, and have a knowledge of the security industry and knowledge of CCTV and access control systems.

Essential Skills:

"City & Guilds 236 pt 1 and 2 in Electrical Installation and maintenance, or equivalent
"Electronic fault finding experience
"16th Edition is preferable
"Clean Driving licence
"Able to take part in 'on call' rota system
"Candidates must have alarm installation and service experience

In return you will be rewarded with a salary is in the region of £20,000 to £22,000, O/T, a choice of car or van, and after a qualifying period enter in to the company bonus scheme. We also welcome applications from experienced engineers and a higher basic would reflect this.
