QUALITY ENGINEER

LOCATION: West Yorkshire, commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Keighley, Huddersfield, Halifax and some areas of Lancashire

SALARY AND BENEFITS: £25,000 - £27,000 plus bonus, and pension scheme

COMPANY INFORMATION

A well established manufacturer of high volume engineered products to various industries including the Automotive sector. Part of a larger multinational Group, they supply to clients around the world, and are a Market leader in their niche field of expertise.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

• Significant experience in Quality Engineering, within a forward thinking manufacturing organisations
• Engineering background (mechanical bias preferred)
• Knowledge and practical experience of a range of quality engineering tools, including TS16949, 8D, MSA, APQP, FMEA, SPC, PPAP
• Excellent problem solving skills
• ‘Hands on’, down to earth approach, communication skills at all levels, ability to influence change

ADDITIONAL SKILLS PREFERRED

• Experience in Quality Engineering within an Automotive or Aerospace organisation
• HNC/HND Engineering qualification
• Lean manufacturing tools and techniques – 5S, 7 Wastes, Kaizen

ROLE INFORMATION

This is a varied and challenging role, with responsibilities for maintaining the TS16949 quality system, process improvement through the use of a variety of problem solving tools, customer complaints resolution, internal and external auditing and supplier quality development. The role will also involve supporting manufacturing and inspection teams, as well as input into site Continuous Improvement activities through participation in Kaizen workshops.

This position would be ideal for an ambitious Quality Engineer looking to work for a forward thinking organisation focussed on continuous improvement.
