My client is a leading retail fit out specialist. Due to internal promotion they currently have a requirement for a CAD Technician to join their design team based in West Yorkshire.

This company has a retail specialist design team, delivering everything from surveying, space planning and feasibilities, through to full architectural drawing packages. They plan projects across all formats including complex building extensions and sales area reductions, along with new store fit out and major refurbishments.

They require a CAD Technician who can take on the production of working drawing packages for their customers.

General duties will include:

Creating survey drawings for retail stores
On site surveying, visiting sites for any amendments and alterations that are required from project managers
Producing working drawings inherited from district architects for particular projects
Using specified designs from clients when re-adjusting and amending general arrangements to detailed drawings
Re-adjusting and recreating detailed construction drawings for certain projects
Produce and amend fire escape route plans, signage and door schedule drawings for stores all over the UK
Attending regular meetings with account and project managers, for consolation between client and structural engineer/district architectures

The successful candidate will ideally have worked in the retail sector and will also be local to the West Yorkshire area.
