As a leading financial recruitment consultancy Venn Group have been approached by one of its largest public sector clients in Lancashire to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk.
This exciting opportunity will require you to assist the Purchase Ledger Controller to ensure the prompt payment of the organisation’s contractors and suppliers. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date records.
As an important member of the team, it is essential that you have experience of working on a Purchase Ledger processing a high volume of invoices. Furthermore you must be proficient on MS Excel, have excellent numeracy skills and have the ability to work to strict deadlines. It is preferable that you have a working knowledge of Oracle.
Day to day duties will include ensuring suppliers are paid on time, dealing with supplier queries, logging of invoices with authorising officers and processing the authorised invoices.
