Our client uses their expertise to create opportunities for their customers to reduce both procurement costs and carbon emissions within today's rapidly changing energy and carbon markets.
They are responsible for the procurement activity of over £1 Billion of their client’s annual energy costs and have a specialist team of Energy Procurement Advisors responsible for managing client’s procurement and strategy advice. A primary objective of the team is to secure renewal agreements on the back of reporting the results of an excellent service; as the Team Manager you will need to drive this renewal process forwards and lead the further development of the team.
Candidates for this role must hold previous management experience, ideally within a similar role, and have a proven track record in a renewal / sales environment. Experience of training and developing team members, especially with their customer facing skills, is also essential coupled with the ability to develop and improve processes, successfully implementing these efficiently throughout the team. You must have a background of KPI Management with excellent customer facing skills and the confidence to manage problematic client situations.
Although not essential, knowledge of the UK wholesale electricity and gas markets would stand you in good stead. Degree educated or equivalent, you must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and have an aptitude for mathematics and statistics.
